A patient focused independent Opticians based in Pimlico, Central London are looking to recruit a full time Optical Assistant. The practice is based in an excellent location, a ten minute walk from Victoria Station and offers patients advanced eyecare coupled with exceptional levels of customer service.  

Optical Assistant - Role

  • Dispensing high quality frames and lenses depending on lifestyle, fashion and budget.
  • Working with high end brands such as Tom Ford, Lindberg, and Chanel
  • Spending time with each patient to understand personal requirements.
  • Working closely with the directors to actively drive the business forward
  • Assisting with stock selection
  • Dealing with complex patient queries
  • Providing outstanding levels of customer service
  • Working in a team of 3-4 people
  • Working 8.45am to 5.30pm - Currently open Mon to Fri but some Sat working is being introduced
  • Salary between £26,000 to £28,000 DOE

Optical Assistant - Requirements

  • At least 2 + years Optical experience
  • Would also consider a Student DO
  • Experience of working within an independent Opticians would be ideal
  • Customer focused
  • Confident
  • Mixture of sales skills and clinical professionalism
  • Interest in Optical fashion and the latest trends
